Indie development duo Flippfly Studios (and fellow Wisconsinites!) have announced their latest game, titled Hexarden. The game is based on a Ludum Dare entry by Flippfly of the same name. In a press release from the company earlier this week, the game was described as a “thoughtful, meditative puzzle game set in a hexagonal world.”

After the success of their last game, Race The Sun, Flippfly has been quiet about their plans. However, with this new game announcement also comes a release window: Hexarden is slated for a 2014 release, with platforms still up in the air. Not much is known about Hexarden’s gameplay, but the press release mentions that players will “create connections between water and seedlings to bring life and harmony to their garden.” The game will also share the “minimalist aesthetic” used in Race The Sun.

Flippfly is a development studio run by two brothers, who have released an iOS app titled Monkey Drum and survival racer game Race The Sun. For more information about Flippfly and their games, check out their website.
